Age of Mythology transports players to a time when heroes battled with monsters of legend and gods intervened in the affairs of mortal men. Players create armies, develop their civilizations through the ages and manage economics through resource gathering and trade. The mythological excitement begins when players call upon the gods to act on their behalf, or reinforce their armies with more than 25 mythological creatures.

There is an Internet multiplayer mode that lets you play on-line with fast and easy in-game matchmaking that automatically finds opponents with a similar skill level.

The game Interface is well designed and all functions can be accessed by a pointing device. You can use the keyboard to access lots of configurable keyboard shortcuts but the game cannot be played by the keyboard only as it relies on the mouse pointer to select and place objects. You can play most of the game with the pointer only, with keyboard entry only needed for saving games.

Control of the left and right pointer buttons is required. The left button selects soldiers/people and the right button makes them perform an action on a object. The ability to hold down and release the pointer button is required often in the game to select groups of people and buildings. Unlike the similar Age of Empires 2 there is no one-button control option in the game.

There is a very useful option in the game to play the game in a Window rather then the full screen. This is usefull if you want to use accessibility software such as dwell clicking or an on-screen keyboard.

Rating: 3/5Fun for accessibility
I was happy to play this game but it's very fast pace and a pointing device like a sip and puff switch will work just fine but I got frustrated because the game moves too fast which I think most of these type of games where you build and then attack are all programmed the same. Spending way too much time building your characters and then figuring out how to conquer others effectively is a slow process. (A quadriplegic myself.) www.RobertFlorio.com

Rating: 4/5This game rocks!
This is as good as Age of Empires 2 but with better graphics. Why no option to just use one button pointer selection like Age of Empires 2?

Rating: 5/5Well suited to headpointer control
This is a good game for a headpointer. Even better is the ability of the game to play in a window so you can use dwell clicking and on-screen keyboards.
