As a provincial governor charged with spreading the glory of Rome, your mission is clear: build cities, foster trade and industry, make money. How you accomplish this is entirely up to you. Gain wealth and power, make a career out of pleasing the Emperor, battle barbarians and repel invaders, or concentrate on building the next Eternal City. Fail and you'll end up as lunch for the lions. Prove your strength of mind and spirit and you just may be crowned Caesar!

The game is quite a complex strategy game which involves a lot of reading of menus and objectives. It is predominantly controlled by the mouse/pointer. The only time you need to use the keyboard is for naming saved games and entering your own name as the governor but you can get around this by accepting the default names that are offered. It is not necessary to hold the mouse button down to drag and drop objects - only single clicks are required. There is a useful 'undo' option available if you make a mistake when placing objects, which is required quite often in the game e.g. putting buildings in the correct position.

Rating: 2/5Windowed Mode does not work on newer graphics cards
The windowed mode did not work on my machine. I was hoping to use the game with dwell select software.

Rating: 3/5Build cities in the Roman Empire..
The purpose of this game is to build and manage cities set in the Roman Empire age. On each level you get assigned different tasks, but on every level you have to reach a target population and target scores in different categories. You might also get attacked by enemies. This is a really cool game and basically you have to follow orders and instructions to please the governer in order to advance to the next level. It is quite easy to play once you get to know it.
