Enter fantastical free-roaming 3D environments from Harry's world. Converse with unique characters like Moaning Myrtle, shop in Diagon Alley, and explore the convoluted corridors of Hogwarts. Additionally, Harry can, of course, cast spells against foes - but these spells must be perfectly executed, or they could be miscast with humorous or critical consequences! Mini-games within levels can be revisited, so players can help Mrs. Weasley with "de-gnoming" her garden, challenge other students in Professor Lockhart's Duelling Club, or complete other mini-games again and again.

Control Harry Potter with either a joystick or the keyboard and mouse/pointer. Keyboard and mouse controls enable you to look around the 3D environment, cast spells, move around and use objects. All the controls are configurable to your own keys/buttons. It is often necessary to hold down and release keys/buttons for a set time in this game, especially when using Harrys wand, where you press and hold the left pointer button to energise the the wand and then release it to 'fire' a spell.

There are some useful options to make the game easier to play. These include an auto-jump feature which saves you having to time the jumps, an auto-drink potion feature to automatically use potions and an auto-center camera feature to make it easier to navigate the 3D environment. You can also change the sensitivity of the mouse/pointer speed.

Comments

Rating: 4/5Excellent game
I thought this was an excellent game but some bits may not be accessible to all players, as it was quick and you needed to press three different arrow keys.

Rating: 3/5Turn auto-jumping feature ON
This makes the game eaiser to play. Do the same with auto-drink potions and auto center camera

Rating: 3/5Need to hold and release keys/buttons often in this game
This game is very good but I did find it hard to hold the mouse pointer button to energise the wand and then aim the wand and release the button.
